Key Differences

Privacy policy

Effective date: 9 June 2026

About this policy

Key Differences is a brand operated by Plain Talk Matters Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”). This policy describes how we collect, use and protect your personal information when you join the Key Differences waitlist at keydifferences.love, and explains your rights under UK data protection law.

Plain Talk Matters Ltd is a private limited company registered in England and Wales (company number 15929867), registered office 71–75 Shelton Street, London, WC2H 9JQ. We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), registration number ZC126968. Key Differences sits within the same family of brands as Plain Talk Matters and 8Notes, all operated by the Company.

What we collect

When you join the waitlist, we collect the information you give us in the form:

We do not set analytics or advertising cookies on this page, and we do not build a profile of you.

How we use it, and our lawful basis

We use these details for one purpose: to contact you about Key Differences and the waitlist — to let you know as places open up, and to share related news about the course as it launches. We rely on your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)), given when you tick the box and submit the form. You can withdraw that consent at any time, and every email we send will include a clear unsubscribe link.

Where it’s stored, and who can see it

Your waitlist details are stored in Google Workspace (Google Sheets), which acts as our service provider for this purpose. We do not sell your data or share it for marketing. We may share data within our own brands (all operated by Plain Talk Matters Ltd), and where we are legally required to do so. Google may process data outside the United Kingdom; where that happens, appropriate safeguards required by the UK GDPR are in place.

How long we keep it

We keep your waitlist details until you ask us to remove them, or until the waitlist purpose has clearly ended, after which we remove them within a reasonable period.

Your rights

Under the UK GDPR you have the right to be informed, the right of access, and the rights to rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, to object, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email us at the address below. We will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113, though we’d appreciate the chance to help first.

Security and children

We use commercially reasonable safeguards including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and restricted access. No method of transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. The waitlist is not directed to anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a revised effective date.
